Welcome to Luca’s Light Foundation

Luca’s Light Foundation assists families who are caring for children with cancer.  It is overwhelming when a family finds themselves in this situation and our goal is to help ease their burdens so that parents can focus on their child’s well being.  Financial support for their most immediate practical needs will be provided and through a mother’s blog, families can become connected so that they can support one another.

The foundation was formed in memory of a wise, brave and loving 3 year old boy named Luca De Lisi, who passed away of a brain tumor after a 6 month arduous fight.   His name appropriately means “bringer of light”, and now it is the mission of his parents to keep “Luca’s Light” shining and to share their wisdom with others.

Luca’s Why We Ride Video

This video was created when Luca’s dad formed Team Luca and rode 192 miles for the Pan Mass Challenge, and raised well over $250,000 for brain tumor research and pediatric palliative care.
